My name is Beth. I’m a mother of two little girls, who have sparked more passions in me than anything else in life. I’ve been married for six years and my husband and counterpart is everything that encompasses the words Love and Encouragement. We are a family that is based in Clarksville, Tn but loves to serve the whole of middle Tennessee any way possible. My oldest daughter is four years old and her birth story is what inspired me to look for something different. It was a typical American birth where my care providers dictated my every breath, move and thought. Her birth was beautiful, but looking back upon it, I know I missed out on what it could have been. Afterwards I was left alone to figure out how to breastfeed, and so I turned to social media outlets where I found a community of women who thought about things in a way I'd never imagined. I dove into topics like natural birthing and natural ways of parenting and have since learned I have a passion for women in the childbearing and rearing years. My second birth experience was one of complete calm and relaxation where I was able to enjoy the moments as they came. And when my baby was born, we were already connected and knew exactly what to do. I have gone on to become certified as a HypnoBirthing® The Mongan Method practitioner.
Being passionate about birth, for me, isn’t just about witnessing babies entering the world, as amazing as that is. The passion in me is more about creating an aura of peace and knowledge around the birth.
The focus of Love’s Little Beginnings is education. My only hope is to provide women with a knowledge and understanding of all the options available to them during their pregnancy and birthing experience. I believe that you as a mother should be proud of your birthing experience and be able to look back upon any decisions made with pride because you knew that your decision wasn’t pushed or forced upon you. I hope to shed some of the negative light surrounding birth and open your eyes to the nature behind how your body is designed to work.
